Yep. And in recent years social media has only amplified this phenomenon. Just look at the amount of garbage that just spews out of Tumblr.

It was a matter of time this would happen. The fatties have hit critical mass where they can dictate to the rest of the world to accept them for over-eating and not working out enough.

Tee Hee, critical mass. :D

They should absolutely charge higher premiums for people that are more likely to be in an accident, regardless of whether it's controllable or not..... just like Health Insurance companies should be able to charge the fat fuckers more for all of their future medical claims. What's that? You can't afford to Super-Size your bullshit combo meal 4 times a week because of your higher insurance premium? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Except that car insurance premiums are generally entirely arbitrary.
24 years 364 days old - sorry we can't insure you for THE NEXT WHOLE YEAR on that car.
25 years 0 days old - yeah any car is fine.

I got insurance at 24 years and 11 months, had it for 1 month, cancelled it and took out a new policy starting the day I hit 25. That 13 months of insurance was cheaper than taking out a 12 month policy aged 24 years 11 months.
Of the insurance companies I looked at, only one would even insure me aged under 25.

Arbitrary lines in the sand.

I get calling people out for shit, I really do. But is it really necessary to essentially call out every single fat person you see because of a lifestyle choice you don't agree with?

I think smoking is disgusting, makes things smell poorly, and also causes severe health issues that others get burdened with but I'm not gonna a video shouting "HEY SMOKER, I'M SHAMING YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR SHITTY LIFESTYLE CHOICE. FEEL BAD SMOKER, YOU'RE NOT A GOOD PERSON". They accept the risk of their choice and pay the price for it.

Should pedophiles, rapists, murderers, and the like be shamed? Absofuckinglutely

How about when I go to someone's home and they let their pets use the floor as a toilet, never clean it up, and get upset that I refuse to step foot in their house? Yes and it is disgusting.

How about we spend more time coming up with better ways to educated children, end hunger, or any other activity that doesn't out right single out a group of people?

Someone must be a fattie because apparently this pinched a nerve of yours.

Which is sad. And pathetic.

No one walks down the street saying to every fat person they see: "Hey fattie mcfatterson. How about your get your fat ass to the gym today and lose some weight?"

However, we do have some dumb canadian bitch make a stupid video where she calls out fat people that YOU CHOSE TO WATCH

There is a distinct difference. Furthermore, fat people should be called out more in public on a daily basis. The fact that doctors have to be so careful as to not hurt their feelings is just downright sad. If we were more blunt instead of being pussies we would have doctors that tell their patients daily if they do not lose weight they will be dead by the age of 45.

But our doctors don't want to lose their patients, so they don't even bother. People don't want to hear encouragement, they just want to hear what they themselves approve of. Just another part of the George Carlin "Self-esteem movement"

It's funny to me that some lady put out a video in response to this... a woman who stars in "My Big Fat Fabulous Life". Someone who makes a living from BEING FAT. Further making it seem ok to be a fattie. Accept me or you're wrong!

People over eat in an attempt to self medicate, most mammals do this by instinct but humans now do this by eating more of what makes them feel ill. Of course being fat is no longer a famine survival trait essential for living long enough to pass it on to the next generation. What would work in this modern day of abundance is a one or two day a week fast, Monday or Monday and Friday seem to do the job.

Nope. You assume things, which is fine, and you have to make the argument personal, also fine. It's the internet after all and it just wouldn't be a rationale discussion without it.

People have a choice in care providers and I make it perfectly clear with my doctor the day I step foot in their office that I want the truth and anything less is unacceptable. If not, pretty easy to find one that will.

Just an FYI, I did not watch the video. Just listening to enough friends and family talk about it was enough for me to get the gist of what was said.

Here's what pisses me off is that the security of our country is increasingly the role of the physically fit. Sure, it always has been, but the pool of people that CAN do the job continues to get smaller and smaller because people are so willing to be overweight and unhealthy.

That, in addition to the increased medical costs we pay as healthy people in this country is bullshit.

I'll give you the first one, but if you honestly think that no fat people would make insurance premiums go down you are delusional. They would simply find another scape goat. I see this pop up all the time and it is complete nonsense. Remember 9/11 and how everyones insurance went up because of it? Yea...it doesn't matter wtf happens, prices will always go up for no real reason. They are out to make money, not be a charity.

That's true, first it was people with high cholesterol, then it was smokers, now it's fat people. Next it will be overly healthy people who collapse from heart attacks.

I watched the video, thought it was hilarious. I'm fat. Trying not to be though, I don't eat as much, and I cut back a lot on sugary drinks and junk snack foods, but now I just need to get off my fat ass and exercise.

Personally, I hate people who say shit like "oh it's ok to be fat" or "i'm not a male or female i'm a zelbrot". No, fuck you, you're insane.

It is funny the amount of eligible people for the military looks to be steadily decreasing. Even if these kids aren't clinically obese, they can't do a single fucking pushup.

As far as fat people, I am of two opinions. Fat kids: it isn't their fault. Kids are stupid and eat anything they are given and want candy for every meal. It is the parents fault. They are the fucking morons letting their kids stuffing their faces. In the particular video, the "fat family" is really only the fault of the fat parents. Fat adults: it is your fault and you're a fucking moron. Guess what? If you put half a fucking thought and accepted that you might have a bit discomfort for awhile, you will lose weight and be more healthy.

Honestly, I hate fat people, but I respect your choice to be fat. If you want that, go ahead. Just don't expect me to condone it. I will judge you for it. It is your fault and it is indicative of being lazy and lacking self discipline. Don't like that you are giving me that impression? Then do something about it (like not being lazy and having a little self discipline).

Sorry, I can agree on fatties, I can't agree with uncontrollable factors.

Why not? If its about others paying more why does it matter if its "uncontrollable" or not?

People have health issues and risks that are uncontrollable. The same goes with cars. We have a lot of people from Asia here - do you think it would be right to charge Asian's more for their car insurance based on statistics showing they are more likely to be in an accident? How about charging women/men more based on which statistically have more accidents?

Not seeing the logic. Insurance is a business. If you are going to cost them more they should charge you more.

Youtubes Flag system kinda sucks. People get flagged all the time. Her video likely recieved so many Reports that the system Auto-Triggered. That said, her video isn't funny or comedic, it really comes off as just a poke in the eye of fat people. She also disabled Comments and Ratings on the video, which is a dead give away of questionable intent.

Which is a bullshit system anyway because we all know the tards at 4chan can put a script on Youtube to either upvote something one hundred million times or auto-report it ten thousand times.

People that live to be 100 incur more medical costs than someone who dies at 50 or 60. Maybe we should charge high risk people less insurance since they'll die sooner.

God what an annoying, self-righteous fucking bitch. Instead of coming up with any original material lets go after the "fat" people. Easy targets, easy jokes abound.

No because those people lead unhealthy lives and cost a shitload right before they die.

If you die at 100 its almost assuredly in your sleep in a cheap ass rest home. You probably didnt cost much more than a tiny room and minimal food.

I need people to quit being so self absorbed and worrying about everyone else...oh and taking stupid selfies as if they are on some cause. All it is is a cry out for attention with the woah is me crowd.

If she was making jokes, fine. If she was being hateful to be hateful, then not fine. Just as she mentions race, people will find any excuse to hate on people and make it seem 'ok'. Let's start shaming all you pot smokers and let's see how many excuses you come up with. It 'seems' like she is using the 'comedy' veil and context makes all the difference. I say this because in comedy, someone is always bound to get offended if it hits close to home. Some people can laugh at themselves though. However, 'here' for instance, you see plain hypocritical hating on just about everything by what you would assume are not as simple minded people as they come off as.

What would you use to actually shame pot smoking though? You can't possibly think smoking a joint is anything close to being morbidly obese. I smoke pot occasionally and I'm fit. I mean... pot can be bad for you.. it's almost has risky as drinking soda.
