I noticed on dells site when you config their gaming tower that the specs for one of the hard drives was: 160GB - 10K RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache.

Where can I get this drive? I think it is a lie and they mean 150GB, 10k rpm 1.5 Gb/s

Am i right? Or is there a SATA II out there with 10,000 RPM?

My understanding is that Dell has a special 160GB Raptor that is not available elsewhere.

Edit: I don't have a source for that, but it was being discussed on the forums a month or two ago.

dell has an 80GB and a 160GB raptor that is only available through dell. Nowhere else. Well, actually you can get one used on ebay.

Any speculation as to whether the platters on said 80/160 units feature truly higher areal density then their 75/150 counterparts? Or perhaps they have narrower media defect areas?
