What's so difficult in going to the boss like person and say something to the effect of, "Hey I'm going to go and grab a quick bite for lunch, want anything while I'm out?"

b/c he's one of those people who will post a thread saying something like "dear <retarded driver> <boss> <neighbor> <etc>, please stfu diaf gtfo esad , etc" but would not have the balls to confront them in real life.

Word.

That and with the time he spent moaning and groaning here on ATOT he probably could have slipped out and got himself something to eat.

I guess complaining on ATOT is a way easier thing to do.

I wasn't allowed to eat food that we were preparing and wasn't allowed to go to the break area and eat food I brought in because I wasn't on break. So I couldn't eat that entire time.

I told a manager one day if he didn't give me a break I was walking out. I didn't have problems getting breaks after that.

wtf that can't be legal

We called the Michigan Labor Department and they said as long as you are over 18, a business can work you as long as they want without a break.

All I know is that if I work 8 hours, I am required by law to take at least a 15 minute break. (In michigan)

Why don't you make your own lunch and stop wasting $$ on eating out. If you want to eat out, fine, BUT THEN STOP COMPLAINING TO ATOT HOW FVCKING BROKE YOU ARE.

Yes, but they multiplied the prices by a factor of 2.2 last week.

Of course, I believe she is in the process of leaving. Will watch the security monitor to make sure, and then get myself some good ol gas station food.

sounds like a business opportunity if you have a costco's card

Breaks? Who needs a friggin' break anyways? Unless you're in construction or some form of heavy labor

I used to work for the Federal Government. They made breaks mandatory. I was threatend with firing numerous times for not taking a break.

oh boo hoo, you dont' get lunch...life isn't fair, deal with it.

Or breakfast, because I had a late night last night and didn't get up until immediately before I had to go to work. Or indeed, dinner, because I have a series of meetings to go to.

Furthermore, kiss my ass.

Whining Titbaby: Noun
1. Someone who causes their own problem and then proceeds to whine about it.
2. A person who is the only one who can solve their problem but chooses to whine instead.
3. One who lashes out at others who point out that he/she is a whining titbaby.

What is the Law Regarding Breaks and Meal Periods?

Pennsylvania employers are required to provide break periods of at least 30 minutes for minors ages 14 through 17 who work five or more consecutive hours. Employers are not required to give breaks for employees 18 and over. If your employer allows breaks, and they last less than 20 minutes, you must be paid for the break. If your employer allows meal periods, the employer is not required to pay you for your meal period if you do not work during your meal period and it lasts more than 20 minutes.

Stop whining.

Oh, my employer takes a half hour for a break if the shift is seven hours or more. So if you don't take it, you're stupid.
