So I went out with a couple friends last night, order up some drinks at the bar, and tell the bartender to leave the card open.
A few rounds later I go up to him and say yeah I want to close it, and give him my name. He then does his thing on the computer to find my information, but wasn't able to find it. He then tells me "nah sorry bro looks like your card has already been closed". I tell him, "um, no that's impossible, can you check again", and spell out my name for him again.
He checks one more time, but again he says, "nope, sorry I don't have it", leaving me completely
I then ask him to look in the pile of credit cards that he has stacked up to see if mine was in there, and he says "sorry i'm busy, and if it's not in the comp it won't be over there".
Rather than argue with him any further, I go to another bartender at the end of the bar, ask her if she can find my card..so she goes on the computer, finds nothing, and then ends up flipping through the cards..the smart thing to do in this case..finds mine, and asks "is this yours?" And to my great relief, I say, "yes it is, thank you".
I sign the receipt, add a tip, and end up calling it a night..
