Do you think we'll see some upcoming deals on old non-SP1-included Vista media coming up soon? I read a few places that retails might want to start clearing out their older versions.

Any truth to that?

I just want/need 1 more copy. I got in 1 deal at BB 2 weeks ago, for Home Premium upgrade for $129 with a $50 gift card. Now I'd just like to see something similar, or even better, come along soon.

Probably the only good deal at closing CompUSAs, software is 30% off at the one down the street from me...

FYI, in this Sunday's Best Buy flyer, they will have Home Premium upgrade for $99 and Ultimate upgrade for $199. There's also a 10/12% coupon in the hot deals section.

I did the same thing and got the $50 gift card. I was trying to decide between XP Home & Vista and the lowered price & the gift card pushed me towards Vista.

If this is the case, then once the flyer comes out; I'll take my receipt back to Best Buy and get them to price match their own sale and get $30 back from them.

You think they'd do that, considering we got the $50 GC?

Well according to their website; the price match applies to stuff that was purchased in the last 30 days. So I would say that they would have to honor the price and give us the difference :)

worth a try. I'm just wondering if they'll have to account for the $50 gift card. Probably depends on the CSR you get, though.
