939 x2s on sale -Free shipping!

Didn't see this posted.. link is above ^^^^^^

All 939 OEMs seem to be on sale for just 48 hrs. check it out. Just grabbed a 4200 toledo for 67.26- best deal so far. Guess they are trying to compete with Newegg's prices.

edit: messed up link fixed!

Looks like on the x2-3800, and x2-4200 at least......Newegg is cheaper w/ shipping.

Newegg and cheaper don't go together much anymore either!! :)

Ewiz worked for me, but I didn't have to return anything.

I wouldn't touch these deals with a 10ft pole. Same price on a 2140/2160 WAY more OC room AND a C2D board for less $100. PLUS! DDR2 is half the price of DDR.

If you don't like the deal, stay out of the thread. No threadcrapping.

Yeah, with the free shipping ewiz had the better price, but now that they took the free shipping away Newegg has the better deals.

would there be any benefits to upgrading to dual core 4200 X2 from a single core 4000?

ewiz has a 6 month warranty on OEM CPUs, vs. 30 days for newegg... of course it sounds like it may be hard to collect.

I was looking at getting a X2 4200 from ewiz, but at $67 then tax it's $72.53. I was hoping I could avoid tax with them, but they're in California just like newegg.

But then after looking around on newegg I found a cheaper solution!

$63.50, free shipping, and it comes with a free AMD T-shirt!
For CA residents it's $68.10 after tax. So I'm going for this one instead of ewiz.

Toledo is the older core with L2 disabled to make 2x512. Manchester is naturally 2x512, they're pretty much the same.

apparently Toledo overclocks better. Maybe due to better stepping, not sure.
