Anyone know of any deals or coupons for a top-tier 850w PSU, such as Silverstone, Seasonic or Corsair?

Currently nothing in the "Hot Deals" Forum.

Top tier 850W+ PSU deals seem to be pretty rare. Highest I have seen are usually 750W PSUs, after that the price usually starts exponentially going up. Most common deals are on 500-600W PSUs.

Mining craze seems to have affected other components as well, not just AMD GPUs.

This one may not be top tier, but I bought one 2 weeks ago when it was a Shell Shocker deal (for $10 less than it is now). I could not be happier with my purchase. Runs cool and quiet powering my OCed 4770k @ 4.2GHz, 7850 (1200/1250), and 7950 (1100/1500) mining 24/7 without any issues.

I have a Silverstone 750 now, but for my current build I'd like to drop in a 850 to cover SLI with the next gen cards. Thanks.

Thanks everyone, but I'm not going below 800, and I would prefer a Silverstone, Seasonic or Corsair.

Thanks for the links though...it might be that I have to bite the bullet and shell out some money.

This is my alternative for that price:

XFX P1-850B-BEFX 850W Rated Gold but passes 99.9% of the Platinum Specs and capable of 972 Watts. $144.99 @ NewEgg.US and $124.99 @ NCIX.US. I bought mine for $119.99 at NCIX.CA a year ago.

HardwareSecrets REVIEW rated it as one of the BEST PSU's they have tested. It is a Seasonic KM3 variant and looks suspiciously like a Corsair case.

I've ran my i7 2700k at 4.8Ghz with 2 x R9 290X's @ 1250/1500Mhz's in CF under water on a Z68 MB with that PSU. It's quiet, absolutely no coil whine and I've never had an indication of being under powered.

Great PSU for money in my opinion and very happy with it.

Mind you I did not run CF 290X's under water for any length over a week as I sold the 2nd card but that XFX Pro 850W Black Edition PSU didn't complain. In truth, if I was running 2x's R9 290X's in CF with CPU and GPU's OC'd 24/7, I would feel safer with the XFX PRO 1050W Black Edition PSU for approx $220.
