Dealing with road rage?

After classes I left for a bookstore because the campus bookstore was packed, and on the way I encountered the weirdest fricken asshole driver ever.

I stopped at 7-11 on the way to grab a drink, and I wanted to get back on the road. See the MSPaint diagram for details, but the 7-11 is on a 3-way intersection, and apparently some fvcker in a beater Accord that couldn't be worth more than $1000 thinks he is above all and owns the road, doing at least 70 on a 40 MPH road. This was all after turning on the intersection and nearly riding right into my ass after I got back on the road (no, I did not cut him off).

Anyways, he honks and high beams for a little while then he pulls up next to me and literally gets half of his body out the window to flip me the bird. After asking me to pull over to no avail, either he just wasn't paying enough attention or he was willing to trash his car at the expense of mine, but he started to veer towards my car; at which point I just gunned it and left him and his XXXXXL tshirt in the dust.

WTF should you do when met with dumbass drivers that take everything on the road personally and are willing to not only fvck your car up, but possibly hurt or kill someone in the process?

I drive as little as possible.
I also live 5 minutes from work.

I live 55 miles away from school, my car is racking up miles like a business man flying trans-Atlantic every other day; any other suggestions 😛?

In retrospect, I should have done that, but I was too busy trying to keep my car away from him and from all the other cars that were on the road.

Your new car is already attracting attention?

😉

Situations like that are why you use the right gas for "maximum performance"... (inside joke)

🙂

the problem here is you turned into the far lane on a 4-lane uncontrolled urban expressway. thus, being in the left lane, you should be at such a speed that you were passing the cars on the right (there aren't any). so start driving right.

Didn't turn directly into it; I turned into the right lane then switched left. I lost a couple of brain cells trying to draw that in paint. BTW, I was moving pretty fast too, it's not like it took me a half an hour to get up to the speed limit.

Was he in the left lane before you were? Was there a car in front of you in the right lane?

not a recommended rate of speed for the left lane.

No, yes. There was also a car behind me in the right lane; a car that did not proceed to test out its high beams and horn. He came flying out of the intersection right after I got into the left lane.

I was trying to imply I wasn't being a roadblock. As a rule of thumb I don't drive in the left lane unless I'm a. going 10 over and/or b. going faster than the roadblocks in the right lane.

Yup

Actually, something similar happened to me a while back. I was driving home from school in the evening, and it was dark outside. Some SUV full of guys start riding my a$$ and start high beaming me. LKet me also mention that I was not in the left most lanes and I should also mention that I usually speed 15-20 mph over the limit. Anyways, I move into the next right most lane and they get behind me there as well and start high beaming me. Finally I got pissed off, so I made a little stop and go manuever and suddenly I was behind them. I pulled out my digital camera with flash and started taking pictures from behind their SUV. Now, obviously I couldnt take a clear picture, but they definetly saw the repeated flashes coming from inside my car and Im sure they had an idea that I was taking pictures. They tried to speed off but I maintained my speed behind them and continued to take pictures of the SUV. I did this for about 30 seconds until my exit came up, which at that point I left them alone.

well, if this were to happen to me.. i would laugh... then let him get behind me again. SLAM my brakes, let him hit me. if he tries to run--get tag hes nailed for hit and run. if he hits you, bam hes nailed for battery. many many things could turn out of this.. maybe a demolition durby!!

i have bad road rage and im only 16... 45 mph road doing 35 is highly unacceptable and deserves a pass right? RIGHT. i procede to pass. douce speeds up but i get around him with oncomming traffic close to smacking me. he turns on his brights.

in this situation i slam my brakes, he slams his. he doesnt hit me. i put it in park and get out. "whats the problem?"

answer?-- on the cell phone. didnt say a work. just talking to whoever on the cell phone. yeah. *beats*

:disgust:
This is the most stupid, immature, and irresponsible post I have read today. And where did you learn to write English?

Where did you find your driver license? A Cracker Jack box? How many accidents have you been involved in so far?

1000 Exp rewarded for referencing two recent threads. Insane idea but, what if the mods gave out exp towards you elite membership? I could see some serious power leveling going on.

I try to ignore them or carefully maneuver away from them. If anyone was to actually threaten harm to me (when I was in a situation that I couldn't safely get away from them) then I'd pull out my gun and shoot him/her until they died and ceased to be a threat.
