In the process of upgrading my computer. I upgraded my card from a 4890 to a 7950, and was looking at my CPU (Q9300). I was told to jump to a 3570k, but I don't plan to overclock, so I was going to settle on a 3350p, then get a new board and memory.

Today I noticed this deal:

Is this deal too good to pass up over what I wanted with the 3350p?

Is the rest of your system up to par? I'd want to look at PSU and SSD along with the platform upgrade and adjust the budget accordingly.

Perhaps waiting for a deal on a 4430 or 4570 would be better at this point if you are buying new.

That's not a horrible deal for Canada, assuming the rebate arrives. If your CPU/MB/RAM budget is below $300 CDN, well, that's the one at the moment in the soon-to-be-frozen-north. Agree with the above - PSU and SSD are almost mandatory options.

If you can up the budget, you could get a Haswell bundle. Check the weekly specials at ncix.com and newegg.ca too.
