Completely restored, with full photographic documentation. Could probabably talk it down to $6500-$7000. Underbody has been rust-coated, electrical conversion to DC done:

This Spitfire 1500 has undergone a complete frame-off restoration and comes with full photographic documentation of the process! You will be impressed by the attention to detail - everything is new and the paint and body is spotless! This is truly a great value when you consider all the work that has been done. Call and we would be happy to e-mail you some of the pictures for your review.

If a tiny, carb'd, Spitfire really gives you a boner, that looks like a pretty good price. You could probably go win some trophies at car shows if you bought it right now, too.

If they've replaced all of the awesome British wiring, you might have yourself a winner.

I'm going to start posting these types of things to see what people think. It might be a fun weekend/go to work car, they're about as simple as a lawn mower to work on, and they don't look half bad.

If that's what you're looking for... Miata? It's a British roadster without British roadster reliability issues.

Just bought a used NB miata. Thing is ridiculously simple... and for a small car, the engine bay is SO spacious.

Also, noticed you're a formula guy. What school?

I remember driving a friends back around 1980, when it was fairly new. Take it for a test drive, you won't want it any more.

Agree on all Miata points, a few people I know have started to buy them.

Cooper Union, my last year was 2009. You?

Sweet weekend project car. $7K is chump change. Assuming you know what your buying then go for it. Tad bit vintage for me but to each is own.
