actually, these work in the new intel mac mini's as well, so technically speaking, they work in a desktop system as well

Granted, the mini uses mostly laptop parts

Thanks crimson117 for the clarification. Good point to make. I knew it was Laptop memory but assumed everyone knew what a SO_DIMM was.

Good point. I ordered it for my Imac Intel Core Duo...it uses laptop/notebook memory as well. For what it's worth, I noticed that Outpost.com had the Parallels Desktop for Mac (enabling you to run Windows XP from OSX on Intel based Macs) for $39 after $20 rebate, which is also a pretty hot deal, cheaper than I've seen it anywhere else. I ordered this as well. That's why I wanted to upgrade to 2GB.

i've been waiting to buy a new intel mini solo until the merom comes out, currently have a G4 mini and would love to pop a 2+ghz dual core merom in there...

I wonder if anything new with the mini is planned at WWDC next week.
