Wow, can't really beat that for the price, especially with ram, a hard drive, and Windows 8.

Very nice!

It's a sandy bridge so, presuming the video part hasn't been significantly gimped, it shouldn't have a problem.

It looks like this is a BGA processor as well so this definitely falls under the category of "appliance".

Very nice! Acer has one for around the same price, but comes with Linux preinstalled and not Windows, plus half the RAM and smaller HDD. Only thing I don't like about this is the VGA output, though I guess Lenovo targets businesses and feel that users may be hooking them up to old projectors.

It should have a 6EU graphics similar to HD 2000.

DOH, just noticed it only has SPDIF output and no analog outputs. Weird.

Looks to me like it has an HDMI output. My biggest concern would be the slow harddrive. Wonder how hard it would be to put in an SSD?

definitely a nice deal given its a full system. i guess the NUC competitors are starting to come out, driving prices down for everything.

this is faster than the celeron NUC, can use a normal hard drive and probalby nearly as fast as the i3 one. too bad no usb 3.0 either.

I think the USB 3.0, analog audio out/in, and card reader are all behind the flip down front panel but I can't find a picture or video showing it. :/

I went ahead and ordered one. It does have USB 3.0. I'm going to use it to play pandora with the spdif output to my whole house speaker system. I may also hook it in to my projector to give me internet in my theater. Might be fun using win8 since I'm still on 7 with my other computers. For $250 it seems like a great deal.

Anyone know if it has an internal fan?

If so, how noisy, and does it always spin, or just when certain temperature threshold is reached?

(I don't see optical drive either?)

It looks very easy to change the memory and HDD. It has a fan in there, and it would be pointless to have a disc drive on this small PC. That is what an external is for since you would basically never need it. Only time I could see you would want that feature would be to play Blu-ray and DVDs but that still can be done over the network.

They make a companion optical drive, it snaps onto the top of the unit and forms a single "case." There is a seller on e-bay selling the DVDRW optical drive for the Q180 for about $22+shipping. The Q180 and Q190 are the same size so it should fit both.

First post comments on fan being noisy but I don't know how loud: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=157563 Unit has only been out a month so there isn't much feedback yet.

Wow.. awesome! If I didn't have a few older PCs lying around, I'd be all over this. You really cant beat something like this for the price, although it IS possible to build a much better larger minibox (spec wise) for the same amount.

Size is what makes it nice- good for the living room. Nice deal it seems.

Spec-wise yes. But not with a legit copy of Windows 7 or 8 on it. :)

Could I mount this on the back of a monitor to make a cheap all-in-one?

On this extremely non-descript "tech spec" sheet it mentions a VESA mount under the Simplify Solutions section: http://shop.lenovo.com/products/us/d...-datasheet.pdf
Whether or not its included in the box I can't begin to tell you. Worst comes to worse you could slap it on there with some Velcro tape.

Imo, lenovo has one of the worst sites I've come across in terms of actually finding out what you get not only in the machine but in the box. :(

Yes, according to Lenovo.

Yet the Q190 is small enough — about the size of a paperback novel — to attach to the back of your TV or monitor with the in-box VESA mount.
