lies? it says 329.99

It showed $299.99 when I checked last night (late). It is now back to $329.99. Maybe it was a brief error or something.

Nice deal.

And quit telling us how a pair of 320GB is a better buy. Some of us prefer to have LESS hard drives to deal with. $/GB is not the absolute quantifier for some of us.

Too good... but I have to force myself to pass. I already have five 400GB (2xSATA, 3xEIDE) and one 320GB SATA just sitting here, new and unused. NO MORE HOT DEALS, PLZ.

As to those who wonder what you do with that much space, let's say that filling 4 300+GB drives is not hard.

not especially when those HD Blue ray and the other type come out with DVDs and everybody wants to store their dvds on their entertainment system... i will give it another 1 yr before these 750GB and Tera byte drives become a necessity.... I am already at tera byte, but i won't say what's there! let's say a lot of DVDs

I have a 7 TB's on my pc and I am running out of space.

These big drives are great for people like me that never delete anything.

I still have my very first emails I got in 1991

4-8 gigs of of photographs/day adds up pretty quick. :)

There are a few but small exceptions...... However the day will one day come when a bottom of the line budget PC comes standard with a 750GB hard drive. Heck I can remember when 1GB hard drives came out and people said what do you need all of that for?

For the time being most of us will not fill that up in the next four years. I am having a hard time filling up my two 250GB and one 160GB (for CD emulation) hard drives.

uh ya, most people don't need this much space. so what?? what's your point???

That a cheaper and smaller drive will get the job done untill we have a need for 750GB and at that time you will get a much faster drive at a much lower cost (sub $100?).

ah, so you just had the urge to make a useless point?

Who knows. I've seen (and probably others here) prices bounce around on almost an hourly basis at some vendors, Outpost and Newegg included.

When you figure out how to un-DRM them, let eveyone know, ok? This round is supposed to be much harder.

Also, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are both out. 1 disc holds between 19-50GBs of data. They're not flying off the shelves though, mainly because no one really wants to pay the price.
