DEAL DEAD :( ATI AIW Radeon 32 MB for $133.00 at Dell, Edit Link fixed.

Question for you video guys......

I have a 16mb ATI AIW 128 PCI -- If I can sell that for about $85, is it worth an extra $50 to upgrade to this ATI AIW Radeon 32mb AGP? I have an open AGP slot that definately needs some use. My main use for the card is to watch TV on my PC. I don't game much, and will probably start watching more DVD's once winter rolls around.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

You will gain significant increase in power, speed, and it will do plenty for any basic gaming. The TV feature hasn't changed really, but overall I would definitely spend the extra $50.

Thanks for the input....

Also, will this work in XP at the time? My ATI AIW 128 won't even with 2000 drivers....

Bump for a very good deal on a great video card. 😉 However, I suspect prices will drop a bit more once the new Radeon's do come out. 😉 Better buy this with your American Express Blue. 😉

dead, i add to cart, but small window pops up says "1 or more promotion has expired" when i try to check out. and there is only that 1 promotion.

kinda stupid, if they knows its expired, why dont they jsut remove it instead of telling u its expired

The 20% off was for 10/2 only. They are probably updating their computers to take it off.

You gotta be freaking kidding me. I finally decided to get this card after debating all yesterday and after realizing that the deal was still good for me this morning. It showed up fine with the discount and I went downstairs to grab my wallet for my cc number and by the time I got upstairs, the deal was gone. I would've placed the order 10 minutes ago because Dell has my cc # stored, but I couldn't remember the little number on the back of the card for verification.

How's that for a sign that I shouldn't be buying this thing? 😉

Salvador,

You might still be able to get in by giving them a call saying that you got an error from trying to place order yesterday night. From many last Dell deals, people have reported that they could still get in on the deal they wanted by calling in after the deal ended.

Thanks, but I'm taking it as a sign not to get the card right now. It would be nice to have, but I really don't need to be spending the money right now.
