"Deadliest Catch" Season Premiere "Slow Burn" Tues. April 13th 9 p.m.

Its a mystery to me why The Deadliest Catch even made it on the air. The show is retarded.

I'd like to propose that all reality shows be banned from the air waves for at least 10 years.
 
How is it a mystery ? It is a decently done show about a hard job, where life of the fishermen are always at risk. It is as good as Ice Road Truckers, Dangerous Drives, Wrecked and even Dirty Jobs (but some of those are really inane jobs)
 
I like very, very few reality shows. This one is the best. It was better during 'derby' fishing, but its still a must see for me.

It became retarded. The first season was more of a documentary that detailed what the guys went through and gave a real taste of what crab fishing was like. It was interesting and informative. Then it morphed into some silly soap opera filled with personal drama. I guess it was trying to copy American Chopper.

Because it is a great show about a bunch of tough SOB's doing a job that 99.9% of the population cannot.

I have a feeling the show would have been canceled a long time ago if it were not for Sig Hansen. I still watch the show every season, but that guy seems like the biggest attention whore of anyone in reality TV.

Ice Road truckers is a horrible show, so I get where you are going here.

Well, it's quite interesting for the first show--but it's a horrible series. How many times can they show that same fucking graphic of a truck spinning out, or creating waves under the ice??? WTF.

I really dug Ice Road Truckers at first--but it really isn't enough material for a series. It's the same shit over and over after about 2 or 3 episodes. It became unwatchable rather quickly for me. :\
 
I was unimpressed with tonight's episode, it was overly melodramatic, and that is saying a lot. I love the show overall, especially watching the Bering Sea be badass mistress. Also, one of my favorite South Park eps. was on after it.

Had no intention of watching discoveries next abortion of a show "construction intervention". The only thing that makes me mad about deadliest catch is that they made a reality show about every job. The worst is a tie between the tow truck driver one and the pawn shop one. I was hoping History channel as above it.
