I know everybody is expecting me to say how bad the game sucked.... but actually I didn't think it was half bad. *IF* you are looking for a sim and not an arcade type game with lots of fast action and big explosions. If you're looking for those things then yes, the game sucks. But as a sim.... it doesn't seem to bad.

I would never pay $60 for the game.... maybe I'd buy it if I found it used for half price or less. I'm not sure. If you are a big fan of the show, it is worth a rental though. If you don't like the show or hate sims then it's not worth anything... but to people who are really into the show it's definitely worth a rent.

One thing that was annoying is that one of their selling points is about how it includes Coast Guard search and rescue missions, for the first time in any game. There are like two or three coast guard missions in the game and they pretty much suck, so that selling point is shot.

Other than that, it's pretty much as advertised... a good time killer if you like sims.

I was here months ago, and read that thread. It was MONTHS ago, and the thread had nothing to do with game play... rather it was full of jokes about catching crabs, speculation about the upcoming release, and comments about how stupid the game was going to be. Why would I ressurect that thread from months ago to talk about my experience with the game? For god's sake, if people put as much effort into their lives as they do criticizing how others post this would be a pretty damn nice planet to live on.

<sigh> We make the threads for discussion about the game. The jokes were part of that discussion as it hadn't been released yet. By keeping topics consolidated we keep the forums cleaner and more organized. Having multiple topics about the same damn game is annoying, I'm sure Queasy appreciates the organization and consolidation when he can get it.

Also, without criticism there's no drive to be better. I'm sorry if you're all butt-hurt about it, but I was just trying to point out that it would be helpful to not make completely new topics when they fit elsewhere.

You must spend a lot of time criticizing then... if there should never be more than one thread about a given game. I'm surprised you ever found your way out of the RROD threads... The last post in that thread was almost 4 months ago, what is your problem? I'm not exactly cluttering the forums with this post, though now that it's been completely derailed it is has become much more the clutter you're trying to avoid.

Well now that you're getting so damn defensive about it I'm sticking around for pure entertainment. I don't see why you think your post is somehow special and that it didn't fit in the other 2 threads, as it did. There's reasons to have multiple threads about one topic, you don't have one.

All I was trying to do in the first place was point out there were other threads, as I didn't think you saw it (common mistake). But then you come back with your feathers all ruffled saying you saw it but decided to make another one anyway, then took everything personally and bitched about criticism.

I'm all for keeping the forum clean, but I think starting a new thread for this was appropriate. Well, it WAS, but given the content it isn't anymore...
