Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm

My wife loves this show, so I'm hoping maybe this could be my gateway to getting her to actually take some kind of intrest in gaming.... but I don't want to buy it if it sucks. My local rental places don't have it yet.... just curious if anybody has played this or seen it? The few gameplay videos I've seen looked very slow and I'm not sure how fun the game will be. I don't want to push her even further from joining me in front of the xbox by buying a crappy game 🙂

I love the show for reasons that I don't know, but I just don't see this being a fun game.

some of the PR for it made it sound potentially fun (i guess that's what PR is for) but the videos definitely don't look very exciting. Was hoping somebody out there had played it and could say if it was more fun than the videos looked 🙂

That game would be fun if you could play it like the sims, and find evil ways to kill your crew members.

Imagine chasing them around the deck with the crane trying to knock them into the ocean =P

I haven't played it but my son likes it. From what I have seen from watching him play it, I don't know about the re-playability of it. My advice would be to wait until you can rent it to see if you like it...
