Hey guys I know this is a repost. But... as to the contrary these HDs are not toally gone. There is still a Sam's Club with them left. AT: 12000 McCree Rd., Dallas, TX 75238, next to Fry's. Anyway there isn't these HDs in the computer display case, but they have them in the back next to the Cigarettes area. Ask the person there for them. Anyway they cost 67.91 and a total of 73.51(including tax).

Specs:
WD 30Gig
7200RPM
2MB buffer

This is really good stuff, and is on sale at Best Buy for 120 + 40GC. So get them quick. I asked the lady there and there are still a few left, not sure how many though.

So the BestBuy price is $80 including the GC? Sam's is only a little cheaper, huh?

I'm not totally certain about that Best Buy thing, it was from something I saw I don't remember it exactly. Anyway GC's suck in comparision to keeping the cash which can be spent anywhere. I got this drive to complete my RAID 0 setup, but it is a very nice drive single or otherwise. I have been running this drive single for weeks and its very good, up there with the IBM 75GXP, go to storage review.com (or whatever it is) they say it is a good contender under the IBM drive.

Crap, I want a hard drive but I don't have a Sam's Club membership. Can I get like a sample 1 day membership and just buy the drive?

Yes... I do belive that you can get a trial membership for like a week or something like that.

Just buy it without a membership. It's only like 5% additional. So on ~$70 you'd be out only another $3.50. I don't shop at Sam's enough to justify a membership.

Thanks, man. I picked up two today (going RAID) for a system I'm going to be putting together. These things are really hard to find! I spent 10 minutes looking for them until I finally asked the tobacco counter for them. The lady laughed when I said I thought they were only $70.....she felt kinda dumb when they scaned up!
