Unless Cricket is explicitly blocking VPN, there is no technical reason preventing you from establishing a VPN connection while on an EVDO network. I do it all the time, albeit on Alltel's EVDO network.

That's what I thought - 2 people on the phone said he can't, but then if you look in my OP, there is even a FAQ about it (kinda) saying that you SHOULD connect via VPN.
