Well I am in that industry and currently jobless, so I'd have to say I'm interested... but, in the heart of NYC. :hmm:
I'm currently in Ohio. lol

If I can take the offer seriously, and someone would take me seriously... I'd really have to figure out the whole living situation thing. Which is to say, I have no idea where to start. lol
 
That's pretty good for level 1-2. And all those things are easy enough. Cost is high out there though. Any requirements for the job?

Pretty much, the cost of living is reflected in the salary. NYC isn't cheap by any means. But there are affordable housing so I've been told. You just have to look for it.

As long as the candidate can do the job, that's all that is really required.

Needs to be able to clone hard drives, replace RAM, understand a patch panels and patch user in.
Setup, troubleshoot and upgrade; MS Office Suite, Adobe products, Windows OS.
The rest of the stuff is pretty straight forward, like replacing the tapes in the tape library daily. Perform simple file restores using Veeam. Be able to browse Active Directory, join PC's to domain, delete, create, modify users.
Ability to follow procedures, and willingness to learn in house applications such as the MFS.
And lastly, perform hardware upgrades on the VM infrastructure when needed.

The rest of the infrastructure is all managed by an IT firm, which also does end user tech support so the onsite tech will never be alone or without resources if they are stuck or what not.

If I was single I'd totally do this just to get to NY. I'd find a room mate in NJ or something and commute in. Get established, then start building up from there. Where was this opportunity 14 years ago?!
