DEAD

Apparently the new cards are coming out this month, hence the numerous good deals to be found on old tech.

I was going to buy this exact card a week ago for $120 but decided to wait, glad I did. I might actually do it now! lol

It's probably worth spending a little bit extra to get either a 9600GT or a 8800GT ($135 AR).

Agreed. You'll make it up in a couple months with power savings alone..not to mention the increased performance.

HARDLY, you won't make up $36 of power savings in 2 months, not even close. These draw a lot of juice but not even remotely that much. The other cards are a better deal for the money though.

yeah maybe if you ran it at full load for a year 24/7 running folding or something vs a 3850 at full load for a year.

even that probably would take more than a year.

LoL, their inventory system is fucked up. I added all 41 of the remaining video cards to my shopping cart and it now shows out of stock. If I delete some from my shopping cart, they show up as in stock.

Haha, so if you guys want to get in on this deal....you'll have to pay me to get me to release them from my shopping cart.....muhahahaha

Or I could just delete them from my shopping cart and not be an ass....🙂

I like how you need to cut out the UPC to get the rebate but as soon as you do that you void the FX warranty, guess you need to test it for awhile before you fill out the rebate form and send it in.

why are the 8800/9600/9800 cards so big ?

Because they have huge power requirements, and have to have a large amount of the PCB space devoted to that power.

Also they have 256 bit wide buses (or wider), those make for some complex PCBs.

im sure when your session expires the cards go back

I bought a Zotac 8800GTS 320MB for $79.99 from them about a week ago. So far it seems to be doing good, love being able to crank full shadows and everything now. The card came really well packaged in its case. Wish they would have run this deal then though.

Bought an 8800GTX last weekend from them when they had the $200 special. Had I waited a week, I would have gotten this instead 🙂

In any case, arrived fine in good shape, and has been humming along nicely the last two days!
