I've been running my new build with no problems for about 3 days - all comonenets less than a week old. I noticed the power LED on the front of the P180 case wasn't working so guessed I had the connector on the MOB reversed. I'd noticed this from day one but hadn't bothered to fix it. So today I opened her up and reversed the connector. On reboot LED now worked and everything seemed fine. I left the room to get a drink and on my return the PC seems to be running fine - except I go to browse the web but nothing - no signal to the monitor from the Sapphire X1900XT. Whatever I've tried still nothing. No beeps on boot and everything seems (sounds) like it works (other than nothing on screen). I can even see the PC getting an IP address from my router as it boots up.
I've tried reseating the video card, checking all connection, changing monitors (the same monitor works with other PC's). Checking power supply cable (used other PCI connector also) (I have a OCZ 700W so I don't think I'm wanting for power)
I'm at a loss and am hoping its just the X1900xt gone bad. Seems rather a coincidence that I made this one change - but I can't see how that could have caused it - I was using a static wrist band and hardly touched anything. However, non of the x1900xt 's two LED's are lit (fault or power). WHat does fault indicate? The cards fan seems to run normally.
Any ideas? First thing I am thinking of trying is RMA'ing the X1900XT
Cheers.
