My first woot! I really didn't want to have to buy it, but I just recently built a computer and have been upgrading everything... there goes another $40. That looks sweet and will be great when i'm playing games in the dark as my gf sleeps.

I'm in for 3. They had credit card processing issues so I had to use Paypal. Some people report numerous holds on their credit card so keep an eye on it.

Ok I set up a billing agreement with woot.. do they just pull from the bank account that my paypal is associated with or do I have to transfer the cash? How do I check on the order to make sure it was for 2 and not just 1?

That's MSRP, did you click on the first link (the Woot one) or the second link (the offical Saitek page).

Thanks OP for this, I've been contemplating an Eclipse II for a while now, but this price seals the deal.

Besides how it looks, you can choose blue, red or purple illumination plus adjust how bright it is. Also, has a volume control and a couple of multimedia buttons (not an overwhelming amount).

I'm gonna use one for LAN parties - no volume control on my headset so this would be great. Second one goes to wife. Third one... dunno yet. Damn hot deals - I buy stuff that I don't need. :(

How well does it illuminate? Wondering how well you can actually read ALL the keys in total darkness?

Being able to read the keys in absolute darkness shouldn't be an issue if you know your keyboard. Late night gaming should have at the very least, created muscle memory for the various common keys for movement and lead death.

Dammit! I had the last version and just broke one of the stands. This was a great price. My experience is with the original eclipse and it was plenty bright. Key action was great. The only shortcoming with the original was that the keys were clear and then painted black so the illumination would come through the letters, which were in relief. Over time, especially if your a gamer, the paint starts to rub off on highly used keys. I'm hoping they resolved this issue with the Eclipse II.

Just pick it up at Amazon for $6 more shipped. It really wasn't that great of a deal :\

well, if you're rolling around in dough then good for you :)

$6 savings on a <$50 item is a good deal for me. if we were talking $6 on a $500 purchase then i wouldn't be considering it a great deal either. but either way, that's $6 in my pocket, not theirs.
