DEAD, now $59.00 + Ship

http://www.consumerdepot.com/products.asp?id=900192

Linkage, dont know how to make it clickable so copy/paste

Keep in mind this site does shipping by weight so make sure to check out their 99 cent section to make good use of the shipping chargers. It was $10 for me here, and it may vary, but IMO still a decent deal for the 650 edition.

And keep in mind these are NEW!

Here is a link to Buy.com site with specs and stuff.

QAM support for Windows 7?

Mac support at all?

I'm tempted, but it seems like with those cablecard tuners coming out it might make sense to hold off.

Stay away from this seller! I have bought from them before, only got used items from them :(

http://www.complaintsboard.com/byurl/consumerdepot.com.html

Here we go again :p
Ive bought multiple things from them, and YOU MUST READ for they sell, used, open box, demo/used, refurbished, re certified, and new items. This is listed as new, and with my experience with them so far that will be what you get. In fact ive gotten some of their used stuff in the past that showed up as new.

No I dont work there, Im just giving my 2 cents that if you buy from them you must read the entire listing so you know that if it says used, for cheap, then thatsa what youre going to get.

This is actually $44 at Amazon, and I'd get free shipping with my Prime account.

Wish I could cancel. Ah well, you live and learn.

I have Prime, but it still comes up as $9.97 shipping on top of the $44 (from Ocean Reef Electronics) via Amazon.

I've bought from Consumer Depot before, but only stuff that I could examine first. Their store in Nashville has a lot of junk as well as some good stuff.

This will work with Windows 7 Media Center. It'll pick up clear QAM. I actually have 3 of these in my HTPC along with another ATI Tv tuner that I recycled from the old HTPC.

Just received mine. Brand new. AMD web site says drivers for this card will not be available until 1st quarter of 2010 for WIN7.

I can received analog but not digital HD.

Where did you get drivers to make this work in HD?

Got it today, but the card is too long and it cross my RAM slots on my Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L. :(

Anyone know how Consumer Depot is for RMA's?

Did you try Vista drivers? They probably work in 7.

edit: Most stores aren't going to accept an RMA because you didn't do enough research ahead of time and make sure the card will fit... You could probably return it, but will have to eat a restocking fee. Or I suppose you could RMA it claiming the card doesn't work, but the decent thing to do is just eat the loss and either return it or resell it.

They don't really list the card dimensions on their site and honestly it didn't occur to me that it would even be an issue.

I put in an RMA, looks like they automatically just issue an RMA number for you, so I'll send it back and see what happens I suppose.

I need something to transfer a bunch of home movies on VHS, clean up the audio & video and such.

Does ATI's chip offer good hardware filters?

You let windows update do all the work. It will install drivers for you. You don't need to get them off AMD's web site.

I just thought of something. Did you plug in the cable to the right port? I think the one on top should be the one to give you clear QAM wihle the bottom can be used either as an antenna for radio or just regular non-digital signal.

I checked their website and they just say video input. All the tuners I have bought in the past have a coaxial input for antenna/cable but the video in was, at the most, s-video with composite (neither HD). Does this, or any tuner have either an hdmi or component input so I can record out of my cable HD box?

If you have this card do you still need to hook up your cable connection to the computer, or is it like an antenna too?
