Link Free shipping.

Not exactly cheap, but $40 cheaper than other online retailers (EB, Gamestop, BestBuy). $382 @ Pricewatch.

Update: sorry folks, price is back to $399

AWESOME, this just saved me $70!! I pre-ordered this exact same card from Best Buy, and the total w/ 2 day shipping and sales tax came out to be $427. I just canceled that order and instead placed it with Buy.com for standard shipping, no sales tax!

The reason the card is "backordered" is because it's not officially released until early March. Some places show March 4, others say March 6.

Awesome deal. Thanks to the original poster for saving me some cash!!

Truthfully, I haven't maxed out the capabilities of my GF3 200Ti. Resolutions over 1024x768 aren't very practical due to my 17" monitor, and I can play most games in 32 bit color at 40-60FPS with a 1ghz P3. No real reason to upgrade here :p

If the Ti 4200 is going to be $199, why get this one? Looking at the benchmarks, the 4200 looks about the same as the 4600, except for a few FPS at resolutions at which I'd never game.

I plan on buying the 4200, having skipped the Gforce3 completely as irrelevant.

Why would you not game at those resolutions? It's more than possible with the Geforce4...

<< Are there any reviews for this card out yet? >>

Oh good grief. Do you know what website you are on?

Why would you not game at those resolutions?

Well, because spending the initial $360 plus another $400 for a good 19" monitor capable of those resolutions becomes way to expensive rather than keeping my current GeForce 2 Pro and 17" monitor, perfect for gaming at 1024 x 768.

Good Grief! Yes, I've seen the GeForce4 review on this site, I meant were there any reviews of THIS particular card. From what I read, it was a review of the G4 line in general. If I'm mistaken, I beg forgiveness.

<< My friend gets anything at cost at Best Buy. So I'll just get it fromt them. >>

Um heheh...that cost is going to be like paying retail...My wife works there and most hardware is not anything special, if you are lucky it's 10-20% off..it's cost+5% or something like that...or at least that's what they dupe the employee's into thinking..if your friend gets it for cheap I'd like to know what store he works at so I can figure out why there is a price for employee difference between stores.

Buy.com did the same thing when the geforce3 came out. They offered it like 70$ under what everyone else was, but only for a few hours or something. I happened to find the deal and preordered mine. They delivered it as promised (but that took like a month). So I don't think this was a mistake. Although i can hardly see the point in offering a sale price for a few hours unadvertised, why bother. But hell, good luck to everyone who got it. If its anything like the geforce 3 pre sale, just ride it out. I rememeber other people had their visiontek boards before I finally got my elsa.
