Dead video card?

Hi all -- I recently bought a used computer from a guy on another forum. However, the video card that was in it (Radeon 9700 Pro w/ ThermalTake heatpipe) must have been damaged somehow along the way and will not display anything.

I have tried it on three different motherboards, and on one I get POST codes (long beep then 2 short beeps) which I believe are video card failure, and on the other 2 PCs, nothing at all.

So, my question to you is, is there anything I can do to fix/diagnose this bad boy? I have already removed the heatpipe and cannot see any visible damage. I have contacted ATi (it was built by ATi), and I have an open ticket with them currently. I am not optimistic that they will do anything for me, though.

Any other ideas?

He told me he did (via UPS from Canada). However, before I go that route I want to know if there are any other things I can do on my end.
