dead video card or motherboard?

I've got a 6600GT with DVI and Analog video out. Last week, my computer beeped and and the monitor signal went out. Monitor was plugged into DVI. On Sunday, I tried analog and there's all sorts of gibberish on the screen, but at least I can see something. The machine posts and I can barely make out the Windows start screen, but the picture is gone when it gets to the Windows login screen. I've also tried another monitor in analog and get the same results.

Does this sound like a video card issue or a mobo issue? I'm hoping for the former, as I've got one on order.

Here are the specs on my box, which was rock solid for 9 months
Antec Sonata II case with factory power supply
Chaintech VNF4-Ultra MB
AMD 3200+ CPU
1 GB Corsair Value RAM
160 GB Samsung HD
EVGA 6600GT video card (PCIe)
DVD writer
19" LG Flatron monitor

BTW I posted this on Friday

Sounds like the video card but it's hard to say for sure unless you can try another card or the current one in another system. Since you have one on order, you should be finding out soon.
