Okay, I might be the only one here, but newegg recently has switched to rebate up the wazoo land and now there shellshockers are quite frequently rebated. I guess I'd much rather see there deal be a good deal, and not a fair deal with a rebate on top. I realize that eventually you still save money, but for the love of Pete, rebates are just too darned much work.

Only reason I bring this up here is I saw the same deal as the op and figured, great. I'll get some. Then to find out there is a $10 rebate to get the deal, I think I'll pass. Good deal though op. Not trying to crap your thread, just annoyed with neweggs new fascination with rebates on every "deal" they post.

Thanks OP, ordered one on Tuesday, received it today Wednesday. The Verbatim's I received were made in Taiwan by CMC, inner disk code was MAP705NE30194185 B & ZE0986-DVR-J47F4, Shipped from CA warehouse to CA.

Fyi, for those other numbers, that is not the dye code. Put a blank(or even non blank) disc into the drive and youll need some program that reads it, such as imgburn, dvdinfo tools, dvd decrypter etc. 😛

Itll give you some info under like mode/read(imgburn) or some properties tab. Itll say something like..... MCC030RG20

CMC is usually junk grade media....disappointed in Verbatim.

MCC03RG20 made in Taiwan is what I got in. Quality rating around 94% on what I've scanned in the past with that media code which is pretty good. Only media I have that beats that average is TY made in Japan.
