Not a bad deal if you need a good server motherboard. Takes a hefty power supply and has some limitations, but it's a great price for either one. They're sort of pushy on the sales side, but you can get through it if you want one of these. :)

Depends on what you are doing. It is not going to benefit you at all if you are gaming.

Tyan's NG designation means that it has Network and Graphics (Video). If it had SCSI, the designation would be like S2462NGU160 or something

Found this while reading the reviews

not sure why there isn't a lock but checking the properties does show teh sam secure info as the paypal site and other online retailers

The lock being there and than going away is interesting though

There is an option for them to call you about the cc info instead of putting it through online

Great website, although I didn't want to really buy something with my credit card when the secure lock didn't show during my transaction.

Oh well.. I guess I'll have to stick with my $35 Tyan TigerMP...

This email is regarding your Order #6174XX

We regret to inform you that we have had to cancel your order due to to a
problem with processing & checking the validity of the information
provided to us by you. The street address you provided was not verified.
In addition the authorization result came back with a null value (negative
or 0 (Zero) -- Negative indicates possible fraud, 0 indicates too much
activity on card recently or internal bank code we were not made aware of.
Also many Regualr Cards, and most Check and Debit cards give this value if
there is a daily limit on them.

Heh.. what total BS!!! The card I used is THE only card I use for online orders and I have never had address verification problems with anyone else....

Yep, they yanked the deal and adjusted the listing on PriceWatch.com as well. :( Ah well...when it's sounds/looks too good to be true...it usually is.

I'll get the same thing and I use my card at the tune of $2000 per month without a hitch. A good reason to give negative feedback on Resellerratings.com. I wouldn't mind them simply cancelling the order because of price mistake, but to give BS about it...BLAH! :|:|:|

Due to the extremely competitive nature of our business we are advertising a few items as loss leaders and an item on your order is one of them. We will not be able to process this order.

DOH, that doesn't make any sense. They advertised an item at a low price (a loss leader) to get you into their e-store but then when you buy it they cancel your order because they will not honor the price. That's really dum AND dummer. This is food for the BBB.

WOW, I was reading through the comments on resellerratings. These guys are scum. They post low prices on pricewatch to get people in the estore to buy stuff then they find all kind of creative ways to get out of the sale because they are going to lose money. The say you have a CC problem or they try to get you to pay more or buy an extended warranty. This reminds me of all of the shady online computer places in the early days.

Depends on what you're doing. I do lots of video editing/encoding, and that kind of work definitely goes faster with two processors. If you're just wasting time playing games, don't bother.

It's worth noting that the S2462 is built around the AMD 760MP chipset, not the newer 760MPX chipset. The 762 northbridge is the same for both, but you get the same 766 southbridge as was used with the single-processor 760 chipset. Since this uses 32-bit 33-MHz PCI to connect to the northbridge, you will get no 66-MHz PCI slots (you get some 64-bit PCI slots, but they're stuck at 33 MHz). The 760MPX chipset uses the 768 southbridge, which uses 64-bit 66-MHz PCI to connect to the northbridge. For most people, this won't make any difference...in that case, $36 is a steal for a dual-processor board. There are some devices (high-speed SCSI/IDE/RAID cards, Gigabit Ethernet cards, etc.) that can benefit from running on a 66-MHz PCI bus, so you might want to keep this difference in mind if you need these addons. (You're not necessarily talking only about expensive cards, either...one machine @ home uses a Promise Ultra133TX2 IDE card, which is a 32-bit 66-MHz PCI card.)

Add me to the cancelled list. Said that they ran out before my order. I would bet that "Nobody" received either of these boards. (Ordered the IWill board).

Thanks jacksandgo for the OP! :)

Probably not much...

Don't buy from them

Don't recommend them

Rate negative on ratings service (Resellerratings.com)....

Their business is to sell things (I think :p)....if they don't sell, they go out of business.
