First I would blow hard in the cartridge, and that usually wouldnt work...dunno why it would work now that I thnk about it LOL. Then I would put in the cartridge onlyi as far as it needed to go, not all the way, then repeatedly push it in and back up. If that piece of genius didn't work, I would finally get a q-tip, dib it in alcohol, and clean the damn cartridge.

PS: It's HALLIRIOUS that baked hasn't been on this thread again.

Nice find, will be picking one up.

I had been looking to get an original NES again, however I went through 3 bad "recertified" ones from Gamestop. I have been dying to play some Kid Icarus :)

I love that game, I have no idea why. Something about being turned into an eggplant, and that damned music, which still pops into my head after all these years. One of the first NES games I bought and finished.

KID ICARUS!!!! http://www.flyingomelette.com/kidicarus/kidicarusshrine.html

Wow... a n00b beats a diamond...

Happy opposite day!

On a relevant note - are there NES-USB converters?

Yes, here is one such place. Cost there is $26. Now, if you have decent soldering skills you can build one yourself for only $17.

Give Baked a break -- it's hard to make intelligent, apropos comments when you are churning out 50+ posts each and every day.

LOL!
