figured it out.

I'm having a HELL of a time getting this laptop open.
Anyone accustomed to working on XPS notebooks?
I've gotten all the screws I can find, taken out all drives and anything that looks like it might be holding it together. It still doesn't want to open and I'm afraid I'm going to break something if I apply much force. Anyone have experience with the XPS notebooks? Know of any manuals that might give me a clue what I'm missing here?



I can't seem to find the service manual for a Dell XPS M170 notebook. Dell has one on the site but it doesn't show how the heck to take the notebook apart. Anyone know a better place to look or am I possibly overlooking something on the site?

Go there and start going through each manual one by one. Eventually you will get down to the bare case.
