:thumbsup: if you watch the whole series in a short span (like I did when FX first showed it) there is a huge amount of continuity and foreshadowing over the first few years. The Glory season was also much better on a second viewing.

One of te better wrtten SF & fantasy series, up there with Babylon 5 and Stargate SG-1 IMHO.

I'll be honest with ya. I don't think i've seriously seen an entire episode all the way through. But my girl LOVES it and i'm sure I will too. Almost any show, as long as you let yourself, can grab your interest. Especially if your able to sit down and watch it without commercials and without waiting until the following week to see what happens.

I purchased each season individually as it came out and spent way more than the $100 price tag for all the seasons combined. I think they were about $45 per season at 7 seasons and I don't regret spending that at all. Buffy is probably my 2nd favorite show of all time, right behind 24.

Well for me, I like well done fantasy/SF. Good plots, interesting characters, snappy dialogue, well set up story arcs, beautiful babes kicking butt, all lead me to really like the show. I didn't watch it the first couple of years, 'cause it did sound goofy (and there was that awful movie...), but someone showed me one episode (a valentine's day one, real funny) and it was just very well done. Better than most TV drek out there.

Most of the hardcore fans here already have all the seasons, but this may show up in Xmas presents. Certainly a good deal at the price.

I have heard nothing as to when google will stop the $20 off $50 checkout so I think it'll be there for you when you need it.

I certainly hope so, because I have a suspicion that nobody got it for me. I didn't want to look like an ass and buy it beforehand and then get it for Christmas, so that's why I held off.

As for those bashing the show, watch it first. I was one of you people, and I made fun of it for its entire run on network television. I only got into it when FX started re-running it from the beginning at 7am and I flipped it on as background noise while getting ready for work. Even as background noise it hooked me, and I watch it every morning now.

My only regret now is that I didn't watch it when it aired on network TV, and had I and many others not judged a book by it's cover, it might have aired for more than 7 seasons.

Did you try Firefly as well? Only one season out there (Thanks Fox!) but pretty dang engaging. Angel was a bit too erratic for me to suggest except for the hardcore fans. Glad you are getting to enjoy it now. Better late than never.....
