Even if the quality isn't that great, this is SMOKING HOT. Hell, who's going to print photos on it anyway? I'm sure it's fine for basic text + color.

Do you happen to remember the service rep who did the price match?

Jeez dont remember at all but it did take over 20 mins for her and her supervisor to argue with me that it had to go to corporate ... I argued back that the PM was very clearly within the Staples PM policy and was EASY to understand (they hate it when you claim something is EASY....I told her I was pressing my EASY button like a madman and it didnt seem to be working). Finally they relented after I walked them through, while they were online, all of the links to Frys ad and Outpost.com and she called my local Frys.

Try again with this Outpost.com $199.99 plus shipping match. It really is clearly within Staples PM policy, it isn't some gimmicky PM.

Maybe they have changed their tune, my rep did call corporate but it still took less than 10 min. Piece of cake.

Man, I called three times on the first day and they just said they were waiting for corporate, and that they wouldn't call.

It made me angry that they weren't going to do it since their PM policy clearly states that it should (unless they limit the number).

Going try to call again.

I was trying to do the PM on this same printer with staples pm against buy.com. After 2 weeks of waiting and 10 phone calls the answer I got from them is "We just can't do it!". so much about the PM policy is there is no real policy!!!!

Can anyone tell me HOW to price match? I have never done it before and I don't want to say the wrong thing. Thanks!

E. Cartman, have you set up and used your new toy yet? I'd be grateful if you posted your personal "review" of it here! Thanks in advance.

We have two of these printers in a small office setting -- we've had one for several months and now this new too. The text quality is acceptable, no noticeable difference tween this and our HP 6 or our Brother 1650N.

The color quality is fine. We reproduce a lot of photographs on regular paper and the color is very good. If you duplex color photos you need thick paper. It isn't for printing photo paper quality photos.

The DUPLEX is the whole reason for this printer. We print a LOT of 20-50 page documents. The builtin duplexer in this Samsung works great, and once the 1st page warms up and prints (it takes awhile for the first page to print) the printer is plenty fast (much faster than our Brother 1650 duplex printer). No complaints from anyone in the office on this printer.

For under $200 I think you can't beat this printer.

Thanks im going to try it tonight. I will argue with them if they say they won't do the price match because according to their policy this is nothign in there about "violation" of authorized dealer contract. Ill see what happens.

This deal is dead. They aren't doing any PMs any more. However, outpost.com does have it for 199 (with 54 dollar shipping i think) if you still want it for around 250 without the MIR.
