Dead / Stcuk Pixels Can Disappear?

My brand new laptop arrived today. I was not happy to see a stuck red pixel right in the middle of the screen. It stayed there through several reboots as I removed all of the crap software, installed AV software and etc. Then I shutdown the laptop for a while. When I turned it back on the stuck pixel had disappeared. Is this normal?

Heh, I Hope my red one on my Dell 2001FP gets unstuck. It is just red. Such a shame, the only one on the monitor too.

not true at all.

I had a dead pixel and it went away and a new one appeared, then that one went away and I have NONE now. So they can come back, don't hold your breath tho

it took mine about 3 months or so from when I first noticed it. Didn't do anything to it either. Try the eraser trick?

I've tried massaging it, haven't tried the eraser trick yet though.

Maybe I'll try the eraser trick on the stuck on red pixel on my Dell 2005FPW. If I can manage to kill off that pixel my monitor would be perfect!

My LCD monitor still has two dead pixels that it had when I bought it a year ago.
