LOL Show filmed in late 80's early 90's and not mastered for Blu-Ray.
Makes me miss my TNG LaserDisc collection.

Not true, watch TJ Hooker on Universal HD sometime.

Those old shows are all filmed on 35mm film and could be recut for HD, the issue is the cost of doing so. With TNG the cost is much higher than a regular show because of how they mastered the special effects on video tape.
(tape has very low resolution compared to 35mm)

They are redoing Seinfeld right now, and shows without a lot of FX are fairly easy to do, takes a day or two per episode. Shows with FX, much different story, but it is do-able.

Considering how much they would charge for it on Blu-ray they could cover their costs, pay the actors a million bucks each for each season and still make more than the GDP of a small Latin American country in profits.
