Dead Space Extraction - Wii - when exactly are the save game points?

Hiya,

So I don't play many consoles but I did pick up an adult title for the kiddo's Wii - Dead Space Extraction. As I understand it - this is a checkpoint save system. Well when the heck are the checkpoints? I did what I thought was a level. Was that just one level of the first chapter? It stopped and gave me a loading screen (about 25 minutes), so I continued for another 2 min and quit. To my chagrin, when I restarted the next day, I had no save for this first "level" or whatever it was that I played....Anyone playing this or offer some info? I just don't have time to be playing this for necessarily over an hour a shot. Thanks.

sorry i can't help you out here. am seriously considering buying this game though. regardless, when you first loaded the game, did you enable save function overall? the in-game save can only work when you enable it upon first loading the game.

Hey, a reply of moderate help is better than none at all. Why do you think you have to enable saves in the beginning? I sure didn't see an option for that. That should be enabled by default anyway - wouldn't you think?

I did that captain obvious. Do you see th first half dozen. They're all "purple" already for the clicking on them previously. And the first one's mine. : )

What is a level - a chapter?

we cant see what you clicked as thats based on your own search habits. but since you googled it, did you read this link?

Looks to me like theres no way to know on your first playthrough where mid-level is. Better to just beat a chapter. I assume the game tells you when a new chapter is occuring.

WORLD'S APART
ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE
RETURN TO THE MEGAVENTS
RENDEZVOUS WITH FATE
EMERGENCY CARE
NOWHERE TO HIDE
LIFE AND DEATH
IN THE HEARTS OF MEN
ESCAPING THE ISHIMURA
SECRETS AND SALVATION

I know you can't see it, lol. I meant they're all purple for me.

And I have to disagree. There is a way. I'd imagine, i would be people who actually played the game to provide the feedback.

I've got 3 kids under under five. I don't just have tons of time to stick to a game and I'm not playing this thing over and over again...

appreciate the eye roll, i don't have the game and seeing as you didn't get many responses I thought I'd try to help.

Anyway, I thought you wanted to know if there was any way in-game to know if you had reached a checkpoint so you could know when to stop playing without the fear of losing your progress, but if you want to find out by asking, you're better off going to a gaming forum to ask people there. Try the forums at IGN or Gamespot.
