*Dead*Sims2 DVD special edition $39.99+$10 gift card at CC

Just saw this in the sunday ad, didnt find anything here but an old sims2 pre-order thread so I dont think this is a repost.

hmm, might be a typo in the local (bay area) ad, the online version does indeed say 49.99+GC but the actual paper ad says 39.99. Check your local paper ad.

You'll have to check and make sure the ad is good in your area as they do vary.

add verb
1. To combine (a column of figures, for example) to form a sum.
2. To join or unite so as to increase in size, quantity, quality, or scope:

ad noun

1. An advertisement.
2. An advantage in tennis.

I would go check in person to see if i could get it for $39.99+GC but since I lost interest in the original sims game after only a week (micro-managing the lil buggers drove me nuts after a while and the AI really sucked in some areas) I dont think I'm going to buy the sequel.

Ahh, bummer. Well, in the end I actually decided to go ahead and give the game a shot after reading a few reviews. There was no correction at the CC in Emeryville, CA when I went by about 11:30am, I got them to honor the deal. Sounds like they're already pulling it everywhere through. I hope at least a few others got in on it.

I was pretty upset with CC. I went there on Friday with my $10 off coupon from PC Gamer to buy the Sims 2 for my son. They hadn't even taken the time to put it out on the shelf yet, and wouldn't get it for me from the back.

I hope they missed out on all the first-day sales they would have had otherwise.

I got it and they let me use the PC Gamer coupon, too. 😀

The receipt rang up as: $39.99 game + tax + $10.00 gift card - $10.00 promo = $39.99 + tax, and I got a $10 gift card that I just used for the $24.99AR DVD player. YMMV.

It's also YMMV with the coupon - the coupon SPECIFICALLY says "not valid with any other offers."

So if they wanted to be dicks, they could give you the choice of the coupon or the giftcard - not both.

why would following their policy make them dicks?
