Very nice! A coworker was going to buy a $600 42" Polaroid LCD TV from Wal-Mart but I steered him to this instead.

just a heads up, bought a 37" LCD of sceptre, and the power board blew up on me. This is a major problem for them specially in the US with the different power outlets. However, with that said, theyre customer service has sent me a box and a shipping label to send the tv back.

I have done it a few times...

I chatted with them and was offered $40 back...oh well, better than nothing I guess....

I just don't understand this policy of no price guarantee though...I mean if you buy something like this and went to a regular store, they would give you the credit.

anyways, I am happy I got 40% of it back.

oh yes, very much so!

the sceptre has 4, hdmi 1.3 ports and that's awesome.

the screen is quiet large, I did not anticipate it to be so big and quiet heavy at over 70 pounds as well. other than it, it works perfet and I love the PIP functionality. I can put it in hdmi mode and hook the laptop to it at 1920x1080 and then have the TV in the little pip window in the background. that works perfectly. 1080p content looks perfect on this screen.

1080i tv looks good
720p tv looks good

dvd does not look good, looks grainy, that may be my crappy PC based power dvd up converter and has nothing to do with the screen.

blurays look good, but I am not blown away. mainly because all blurays I can find run in 2:35:1 mode and that puts 2 black bars on the top and bottom of the screen when watching movies. true 1080p content will fill the whole screen, but those movies are realy hard to find.

windows media HD looks fantastic on it, because they're true 1080p resolution.

so long in short, if you're running 1080p source to the tv, it will look good. if you're not, then the picture suffers, but that's how all high res tv's will look with inferior source.

good luck

To Anyone who owns this, a Q' about your warranty:
Milady bought a Sceptre Naga 22" monitor from NewEgg [2 to 3 yrs ago], and it failed. Fortunately, it failed at around 10 months, because Sceptre CS informed me (and I think I also read it in their online policy) that her monitor was disowned completely after 12 months: you could not pay them to fix it, or receive any form of Sceptre service or pay to exchange it for a refurb'd unit.

That pretty well chilled me on Sceptre products, so I'm wondering if it's a different policy on their TV's, or if their policy has changed. Can any owner comment on this?

Note that their replacement program was VERY quick and was a positive experience w/in that 1 year period. [The monitor had gone "insane", failing to reliably turn-on properly and occasionally going weird during use.]
