Perfect upgrade for anybody looking to get more performance for under $200. Only $14 more than the 1GB versions, and the 2GB gives it a lot more legs and makes it perfect for crossfire.

Code: EMCNHJC45, good through 2/20.

Has $25 rebate (one per person). Includes Dirt 3.

This card has about 85% the performance of a 6950 for about 65% of the price.

Nice, Termie! I've probably purchased at least four deals you've posted. This is about to be the fifth.

A few questions, does this exhaust its heat externally? Also, I see this is an XFX as opposed to a Sapphire. Any comments about XFX build quality?

Yeah, it exhausts out of the case.

As as XFX goes, unless it's changed recently, their build quality is superb and they carry the best warranty in the business.

Just as a heads up, I think this model will exhaust at least some hot air into the case - it has a different fan design than the reference models, which exhausted almost all air out the back.

I happen to have a reference XFX HD5850, and I've had no problems with it. At the time I bought it, XFX was a leader in offering double-lifetime warranties, but I think they've backed off of that on their new cards. I don't see any mention of it on the Newegg page, so I wouldn't count on it. That being said, I'd still say they have an above-average reputation for quality/service.

So do you suggest buy Sapphire instead XFX?

Sapphire doesn't make a 2GB model, so no, in this case, I wouldn't recommend it. The XFX 2GB model costs $14 more right now, and you aren't going to have more problems with it than with a Sapphire.
