I wanted th play the first one but don't own any non PC gaming device. I read tons of rumors that Capcom was porting it to the PC, but I guess that's not going to happen. The 2nd one offically has a PC port coming. The game looks like it's crazy fun. The release date is pretty vauge - Sometime in 09. Who knows, with Capcom maybe a port of the 1st is still in the works too. And Capcom has confirmed multiplayer, which has to kick ass. The game takes place in Las Vegas and every preview I've seen makes me want to play it more. I cannot wait for this sucker.
Siddeek confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will frequently track at least 800 separate clothing textures to provide the sense of unique zombies onscreen. What's more, thanks to the elements that Blue Castle are using from mental mill to quickly mass produce characters for the game engine, players could experience as many as 6000 characters onscreen during multiplayer sessions.
