So is this game any good? I remember hearing about Red Orchestra a long time ago, it was basically a mod for Unreal. I play alot of Day of Defeat Source, this game better or not?

Good game, possibly the most realistic multiplayer FPS ever made. But, many people do not like it because of the focus on realism.

DoD: Source is fast paced and arcadey, you cannot really compare them.

For $5, why not give it a try?

The concept is nice but controls are clunky. Every action is assigned to a different button.
Realism doesn't mean robotic controls.
YES, I bought the game when it was $40. I recommend against buying it.
If you want realism that is a little more intuitive, get BF2 with The Project Reality mod.

I picked this up months ago at Target for $5, and finally got on to play a few weeks back. (I had tried it in a free play weekend much earlier.) Quite fun, truthfully. More than worth the $5. I've really had no problems with the controls...lots to remember, but they come with practice. And with this game, you need lots of practice.

Oh, and there are two recent major mods/addons that have been released in the past few months. Both should add some interest and keep servers hopping.

I bit without reading a review. $4.99 is CHEAP. I hope its good. I've been playing dod:S way too much.

Will this game run on my system on highest settings at 1280x1024?

it's the previous Unreal engine, you should be more than fine.

It ran at 1280x1024 on my Athlon XP 2600+ with a 6800. I'd say you're fine.

Sigh. Steam does not accept either of my credit cards ever. I think it has something to do with the way it reads my apartment number as part of my address. I have even called the banks to verify I have the address verbatim and it still always fails.

I only have this problem with Steam.

I wouldn't mind trying the game before I potentially buy it, if any of you bought the game and still have the 2 ten-day passes to give to friends, send one to me. My steam account name is Gigahertz21, I'm not sure if that's all you need in order to send me a guest invite, if not let me know. Thanks!

haven't played it in over a year. Now that this deal has dropped i'll hop into a server somewhere. The learning curve is STEEP for this game. Be prepared to die over and over again, but it is so rewarding once you and someone else who knows what they are doing man a tank together and roll through the opposition.
