That's been my experience as well. I've had good luck with the Die Hard alkalines Sears carries usually for $6/20pk.

I have rechargeable and good LSD ones at that but things get mixed up especially with roommates and/or kids in the house. Heaven forbid some nice rechareables end up in the trash because someone in the house thinks they're disposable.

Uodate- the staples courier is super fast I have mine already and there is not a staples store within threes hours from here.. Nice.
