Hey guys, a while back I posted on my retail 32 Radeon DDR not working properly in my kk266-r. I could get the system up and running but only in 640x480 16 bit. It would lock at bootup after installing the drivers and the screen would turn black, this was running in win2k and win98se with clean install. The board was a refurb, so I figured it was bad. So I went ahead and made the move over to the ECS K7S5A, hoping to solve my problems. Well I got it up and it does the same thing. So I pop in a v3 3000 agp and it works fine!!! The Radeon worked in my last abit be6 board, so what's up?! Do I have a damaged video card? I've installed all of the different drivers and patches. I'd really like to test the video card in another system before calling quits on it. What do you guys think? Is it covered by ATI through warranty? If I do need a replacement, what should I get? I wanna get the 8500DV, but want a lower price... so get a Geforce2 GTS until then??? LMK what you guys think... btw, I'm running the latest official drivers and patches on my setup... also had the latest when I was running the other board.

I will send card to a quality trader for testing if possible....

Thanks
Dw

Try to RMA the board with ATI. Just tell them that you bought it retail, lost your receipt and pray they send you a new Radeon. It sounds as if your card has gone bad.
