dead power supply?

i turned off my machine last nite, and this morning i hit the power button and nothing. it would appear to be a dead power supply, as it does not respond to my power supply tester. also, the standby power led on my asus p4c800 does not light. i was wondering tho, could a dead mobo battery cause this problem? i don't particularly want to pull it out to test it and lose the bios settings if it's unlikely to be the problem, anyone got any thoughts?
