Dead power supplies

I have a couple of dead generic power supplies just taking up space in my closet. Any advice on what to do with them (or how I can get rid of them)? I don't think I should just be placing them in my recycling bin...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

In my area, the recycling center (or whatever it's called) will advertise days when "hazardous waste" can be dropped off. I imagine old power supplies would fall in that category. Perhaps check with them, if your town has one?

Yep, we have those events. That's my first option - just wondering if anyone else knew what to do with them.

You might try Best Buy as well. I know they take most broken electronics and recycle them. Here is their info.
