is the 660ti worth the extra cost? Doesn't seem to perform much better than the vanilla 660. Am I missing something?

Totally depends on the game. It has the shader power of the 670 and the memory bandwidth of the 660. If you're running at high resolution or with MSAA, it will perform a lot like a 660. But in other situations, it can be up to 25% faster than a 660.

Thank you Termie, I'm at 1680x1050 find me a 660 deal please. For some unknown reason I am appriciating my current GTX 260 more than any of the Radeon cards I've had in the past.

Actually, at 1680x1050, the 660Ti will be much faster than a 660 in almost every situation.

Right now the cheapest 660 is $190AR. I don't think that's particularly hot compared to this 660Ti.

Take a look at these recent benches to see how the 660Ti and 660 compare to other cards in their price range: http://www.techspot.com/review/661-nvidia-geforce-gtx-650-ti-boost-sli/page2.html
