What's your take? Should a monitor have NONE? I know the higher the resolution, the more likely they're to appear, and I know that a few in a 1600x1200LCD is good, but what do you guys think?

Discuss.

my 2001fp happily hs no dead pixels. Extremely impressive for a 1600x1200 monitor imo. Personally, I don't think any more than 2 or 3 dead pixels is acceptable, but i'm also very picky :p

yeah, i'm the same way. my first 2001FP had a backlight issue, and one pixel that showed up as greenish when black.

i got a second one, no more backlight issues. it appears that one pixel is red, but it's not very noticable. either way, the first is going back tomorrow, and i'll give it another try. hell, if i'm paying this much for a monitor, it better be perfect, right?
