Dead pixels shifted on 2005fpw???

I have a dell 2005fpw that I purchased like 2 or 3 years back that had a row of dead pixels on the top. This was after my bro took it to college so I thought something bumped on to the lcd and just damaged some of them. The row of dead pixels was about 1/8th of an inch long and not too high, it really didnt bother me. Well today I took my monitor to the gfs house cause she needed a monitor and the pixels have shifted to the middle of the screen, right smack in the middle. The pixels that were previously black and I thought to be dead are fine now. Im not sure what happened but its annoyning now cause I can see it all the time? what the hell could it be? im trying to move them up but its not working, let me know if you guys think of anything and thanks for reading this essay.

That didnt seem to do the trick, im still lost as to how pixels that were dead before are now working and now some other pixels are dead.

I don't know if this makes any sense at all, but I read on another forum that shoddy DVI cables included with a certain monitor seemed to be causing apparent dead or stuck pixels. If you had another cable to try that might be worth a shot.
