Dead pixels on Dell 1900FP

Just got my new LCD. It has a few dead pixels, unfortunately, and although it's hardly visible, it does bother me in this price range.

What should I do and is there any way to get rid of them?

From what I've read, you have a few options:

1) Use a Q-Tip and gently push on the dead pixel area to hopefully rejuvinate the pixel.

2) User your LCD monitor for a while and see if the "dead" pixel comes "alive".

3) Exchange your monitor for a new one.

Maybe somebody else will provide some other options for correcting this issue. Best of luck to you. Paying over $1,000 for an LCD such as yours and experiencing "dead" pixels can't be the most pleasant experience.

Thanks for the input. I've heard of the "massaging" method, but wasn't sure if people were serious about it.

I'll try and see what happens. Else, I'm goint to have to return it to Dell, which sucks. I was really looking forward to it.
