Dead pixel on Viewsonic

After about 6 months of buying my Viewsonic 19'' widescreen monitor I noticed one dead pixel, it appears as a bright white dot. Do you guys know if Viewsonic will exchange it or do i have to wait till a certain amount of dead pixels show up?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

my experience with viewsonic on dead pixel is not good. But I fought it hard, so i did get it replaced.

Take off the back cover, turn it on and place a screw driver across the main board.... Did it with a hard drive ones to get it replaced due to a broken sata adaptor that wasn't covered under warranty, but the HDD controller card failure was... lol
